GLASGOW — Glasgow school board members had several questions Monday night for the construction manager of the newly constructed Glasgow High School building.

Among them were inquiries about lighting, both inside and outside the school.

Elaine Richardson, board chair, said she had noticed the exterior front of the school being very dark at night.

“There’s nothing to illuminate the front of the building,” she said.

Jeff Wells with Alliance Corporation, which served as the construction manager of the school project, told Richardson he would include the addition of spotlights to a list of things that still need to be addressed with the project.

Board member Leigh Lessenberry also questioned lighting in the school’s gym.

Keith Hale, principal, reported there were several lights out in the gym and that he, too, had noticed it was rather dark in there.

Board member LaDonna Rogers also had a question about how to access lights in the new school’s auditorium.

“It looked like a big undertaking to change out the lights,” Rogers said.

Wells responded by saying lifts will be needed to get to the lights should they need changing or other maintenance and said he would refer the matter to the project design team.
