9:27 MORNING UPDATE: Area firefighters respond to multiple hay fires

GLASGOW —  

Area firefighters fought seven hay fires early Thursday morning, according to 911 reports.

South Barren volunteer firefighters were called out at 1:27 a.m. to a hay fire at 1155 Bishop Road.

At 1:35 a.m., Glasgow firefighters were called to a hay fire on Prestwick Drive.

Temple Hill firefighters were called out at 3:02 a.m. to a hay fire at 2531 Poplar Spring Road. They were called out again at 3:43 a.m. to another hay fire on Glover Road and were assisted by East Barren firefighters.

At 4:06 a.m. Temple Hill firefighters responded to another hay fire at 5327 Mount Pleasant Road and were assisted by Austin Tracy firefighters.

Haywood firefighters were called out at 5:01 a.m. to a hay fire at 2920 Oil Well Road, at again at 5:05 a.m. to another hay fire at Bailey's Bend Road.
