Barren County grand jury indicts two dozen people

GLASGOW —

A Barren County grand jury met Feb. 19 and returned the following indictments:

Timothy Wagner, 24, of Bowling Green on 22 counts of incest and one count each of unlawful transaction with a minor under 18, unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities and distribution of obscene matter to minors regarding incidents between February 2012 and December 2012. GPD Detective Sgt. Jennifer Arbogast was a witness in the case.

Garth Matthews, 21, of Glasgow on a charge of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument regarding an incident in November 2012. Barren County Sheriff's Office Detective Rusty Anderson was a witness in the case.

Bobby C. Whitlow, 24. of Summer Shade on four counts of theft by unlawful taking, $500 or more but less than $10,000, and 16 counts of theft by unlawful taking, under $500 regarding incidents in July 2012. BCSO Detective Anderson was a witness in the case.

David Bruce Lay, 39, of Glasgow on one count each of possession of a controlled substance, first degree (methamphetamine), and being a persistent felony offender, second degree, regarding an incident in April 2012. Lay had one previous felony conviction. Kentucky State Police Special Trooper Jonathan Holbrook was a witness in the grand jury case.

Jimmy Dale Wood, 48, of Smiths Grove on one count each of manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense; possession of a controlled substance, first degree (methamphetamine); possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and being a persistent felony offender, first degree, regarding an incident in January 2012. Wood had three prior felony convictions. Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force Detective Ron Lafferty was a witness in the grand jury case.

Andrew M. McCarthy, 25, of Glasgow on a charge of receiving stolen property over $10,000 or more regarding an incident between January and October 2012. Glasgow Police Department Officer Justin Kirkpatrick was a witness in the case.

Lorie Ann Smith Goodman Guss, 34, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., on a charge of flagrant nonsupport regarding lack of support payments between August 2004 and December 2012. Mary Fletcher with the Barren County Child Support Office was a witness in the case.

Martha Nell Gibson, 52, of Glasgow on one count each of tampering with physical evidence; possession of a controlled substance, third degree (clonazepam); theft by unlawful taking, under $500; disorderly conduct, second degree; and being a persistent felony offender, second degree, regarding an incident in August 2012. Gibson had two prior felony convictions. GPD Officer Jacob Elmore was a witness in the case.

The following two co-defendants regarding an October 2012 incident:

Ronald Howard Furlong, 45, and Tonya Glass Stafford, 44, both of Glasgow, on one count each of manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense; trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree (methamphetamine), less than 4 grams; unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor, first offense; possession of a controlled substance, first degree (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana; controlled substance prescription not in original container, first offense; and possession of a controlled substance, second degree (hydrocodone). BECDTF Detective Lafferty was a witness in the case.

Jamie Lee Miller, 33, of Palestine, Texas, on one count each of burglary, third degree; fleeing or evading police (on foot), second degree; and criminal mischief, first degree regarding an incident in November 2012. GPD Officer Ashley Jones was a witness in the case.

Janice Ann Coates, 37, of Glasgow on one count each of forgery, first degree; possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of a controlled substance, third degree (Xanax) regarding an incident in November 2012. GPD Sgt. Jessie Barton was a witness in the case.

The following two co-defendants regarding an incident in December 2012:

Samuel L. Bradley, 19, of Glasgow on one count of second-degree burglary, and Daniel R. Talbot, 19, of Glasgow and Bradley, both on one count each of third-degree burglary; theft by unlawful taking, $500 or more but less than $10,000; and third-degree criminal mischief. GPD Officer Tammy Britt was a witness in the case.

Christopher R. Timmons Jr., 27, of Lucas on one count each of possession of a controlled substance, first degree (oxycodone); possession of a controlled substance, second degree (suboxone); controlled substance prescription not in original container, first offense; failure of owner to maintain required insurance, first offense; careless driving; and no or expired registration plates regarding a December 2012 incident. GPD Officer Elmore was a witness in the case.

The following two co-defendants regarding a December 2012 incident:

Timothy Harris, 22, of Lebanon, Tenn., and Sara Jane Kuzminski, 25, of Hartsville, Tenn., both on one count each of promoting contraband, first degree, and possession of marijuana. Harris on theft by unlawful taking, under $500 and alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offenses. Kuzminski on operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol which impairs one's driving ability, first offense and reckless driving. GPD Sgts. Jarrod Steele and Charlie Eubank were witnesses in the case.

Michael Alton Bruton, 39, of Glasgow on one count each of unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor, second offense; possession of a controlled substance, first degree (methamphetamine), first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; no or expired registration plates; and being a persistent felony offender regarding a December 2012 incident. Bruton had three prior felony convictions. GPD Officer Nick Houchens was a witness in the case.

Joshua D. Wagner, 22, of Glasgow on one count each of intimidating a participant in the legal process and terroristic threatening, third degree, regarding an incident in January 2013. GPD Detective Sgt. Arbogast was a witness in the case.

Christopher B. Stone, 19, of Edmonton on two counts of second-degree forgery and a count of theft by unlawful taking, under $500, regarding incidents in December 2012. GPD Capt. Tony Morgan was a witness in the case.

Katrina S. Jimenez, 23, of Louisville on a charge of criminal possession of a forged prescription, first offense, regarding an incident in January 2013. GPD Sgt. Barton was a witness in the case.

Lonnie Dale Kilburn, 44, of Glasgow on a charge of assault, fourth degree, domestic violence, third offense or more within five years. BCSO Detective Anderson was a witness in the case.

The following two co-defendants regarding a January 2013 incident:

Nathan Scott Sturgeon, 24, of Horse Cave and Tyler Stephen Winchester, 21, of Cave City on one count each of receiving stolen property over $500 but less than $10,000. BCSO Deputy Aaron Bennett was a witness in the case.
