Chandler will lead Humanities Council

Albert “Ben” Chandler, defeated for re-election by Republican Andy Barr in last fall’s election for the U.S. 6th Congressional District, will be the new executive director of the Kentucky Humanities Council.

The independent non-profit provides humanities — history, culture and arts — programs and services throughout the state. It is located in Lexington and associated with the National Endowment for the Humanities but is not a state agency.
