It’s all the things you carry with you

GLASGOW — They carried makeup, a compact mirror, neatly pressed blue gowns and white stoles, baby pictures, Band-Aids for stylish – but terribly uncomfortable – sky-high heels, gum that they’d later have to spit out in a teacher’s hand before commencement, smartphones to take pictures of the last few moments at Glasgow High School and memories of the past four years.

A total of 105 students graduated from Glasgow High School on Friday in the school’s gymnasium. Thomas Kingery and several other of his classmates described the event as “bittersweet.”
