Small fire contained

GLASGOW — The Glasgow Fire Department responded to a call at approximately 4:31 p.m. Saturday of smoke coming from a structure at 205 McKenna St. Upon arrival, firefighters gained entry from the rear of the structure to find a small fire in the center/front portion of the residence, according to a GFD report.

“The fire was started from a pile of tax documents intentionally set on fire,” according to the report.

Glasgow Electric Plant Board personnel disconnected power; Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Service also responded to the scene.

No one was in the house at the time, and no injuries were reported.
