CAVE CITY —

Kentucky State Police Post 3, based out of Bowling Green, responded to a shooting at 12:51 p.m. on Friday in the 6000 block of Mammoth Cave Road in Cave City.

Trooper Jonathan Biven, KSP Post 3 public affairs officer, said they are considering this a death investigation, and it is still under investigation. At this time, Biven said they do not know if the gun shot wound on the individual was self-inflicted, but they do not at this time think it was the result of foul play.

KSP is not releasing the name of the individual at this time, and said they will know more after the autopsy preformed by the medical examiner in Louisville on Saturday.

KSP Post 15 is also investigating a shooting in Green County on Friday that resulted in the death of two individuals. The murder/suicide resulted in the death of Barry Moore, 40, who shot and killed his ex-wife, Pamela Moore, 43.

“It does not appear that this is linked to the homicide in Green County,” Biven said.
