9:30 a.m. FRIDAY UPDATE: Cave City woman arrested, charged with passing forged prescription

CAVE CITY — A Cave City woman was arrested Thursday for allegedly attempting to have a forged prescription filled.

Cave City officer Jason Morgan responded to a complaint of a possible forged prescription at the Prescription Center in Cave City, according to a release by the Cave City Police Department.

Upon arrival, Morgan allegedly found Crystal Davis, 29, of Cave City in possession of a forged prescription and was attempting to have it filled. The type of medication was not provided in the release.

She was arrested and charge with forgery of a prescription for a controlled substance, first offense. Davis was lodged in Barren County Detention Center. She remained in the jail Friday morning according to jail website records.

Morgan was assisted in the arrest by Cave City Police Chief Jeff Wright and Maj. Darrell Butler.
