There’s no sign up yet to let everyone know that police are present in the E.P. Terry Estates apartment complex in Cave City, but there will be soon, according to Cave City Police Chief Jeff Wright.
Wright worked with Sheri Lee, executive director of the Housing Authority of Glasgow, to gain access to office space so the police department would be visible at the apartment complex.
“We’re glad we’re working with the Cave City Police Department so they have a presence on our property,” Lee said.
The Housing Authority of Glasgow oversees the management of the apartment complex in Cave City.
With the police being close by, it will help residents develop a rapport with the officers and maybe the residents will feel more comfortable about coming forward with information that could help the police officers solve crime cases, she said.
