Cave City officials are contemplating reducing the amount of days recyclable materials will be accepted from two to one due to low turnout.
“We’ve not had as good of a turnout as we were hoping for,” said Robert Smith, public works director for the city.
The city started out accepting recyclable materials just one day a week, Tuesday, but then increased it two days a week.
“We tried doing it one Saturday per month to accommodate the people who weren’t able to come during the week,” Smith said.
The city may have to discontinue recycling on Saturdays if more people don’t take advantage of the service.
