Kentucky State Police investigate death

Woman arrested for drugs

GLASGOW — The Kentucky State Police in Columbia are investigating the death of a Monroe County woman.

Trooper Billy Gregory, public information officer for KSP Post 15 in Columbia, confirmed Monday that state police are investigating the death of Daryla Dynell Goad, 45, of Tompkinsville, who died April 28 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

No other details about the investigation were available at press time.

Woman arrested for drugs

Christie Eden, 40, of Glasgow, was arrested Saturday by Glasgow Police Department Officer Steven Fields. According to the GPD citation, Eden was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled substance, and having a prescription of a controlled substance not it its original container.

Eden was taken to Barren County Detention Center and remains under a $1,500 bond.
