Cave City teen arrested after allegedly assaulting, imprisoning victim

Being held on $10,000 bond

GLASGOW — A Cave City man was arrested Friday after allegedly holding his girlfriend against her will during the night at Travel Inn Motel, according to a Cave City Police Department Press Release.

Jonathan Collins, 19, was arrested by CCPD Maj. Darrell Butler after Butler located him and his girlfriend near Les Turner Road, the release said.

The officers on scene saw that the alleged victim had multiple cuts and bruises on her face, according to the release, and she was taken to a hospital for treatment. The Daily Times does not name victims of alleged domestic violence.

On scene, Butler was assisted by CC Police Chief Jeff Wright, deputy Robert Smith, Cave City Volunteer Fire Department and Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Service, the release said.

Collins was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree unlawful imprisonment, according to the release.

Friday evening, Collins remained in the Barren County Detention Center on a $10,000 bail credit with cash bond, according to the jail website.
