Plaza Theatre will host music revue on Saturday

GLASGOW — Jenny Lu’s Country Music Revue will present a night of special music Saturday at the Plaza Theatre featuring tributes to Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Todd Bodenheimer of Louisville will be returning to do the tribute to Elvis.

“The first half of the show I will be doing the early years of Elvis and for the second part I will be doing the jumpsuit era,” he said.

Terry Lee, who is originally from London but now lives in northern Indiana, will be doing the tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis.

Lee has been doing a tribute to “The Killer” for about 15 years.

“I thought he was better than Elvis,” he said, in explaining why he chose to do tributes to Lewis. “Elvis was a fantastic singer and he looked good and he had the moves, …. but as soon as I heard Jerry Lee Lewis, the music just knocked me over.”

Lee will also be performing music made popular by Fats Domino, Little Richard and others from the 1950s and 1960s, as well as classic “honky tonk country.”

A portion of the proceeds from the concert will go to benefit Papa’s Patrol Relay for Life Team.

Typically, Jenny Lu’s Country Music Revue is general admission seating, but for Saturday there will be reserved seating.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. tickets are $10 for reserved seating and $12 at the door. Children will be admitted at half price.
