GLASGOW — The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident on Veterans Outer Loop on Thursday afternoon that sent a Knob Lick woman to the hospital, according to a BCSO press release.

James L. Hale, 44, of Glasgow was traveling west on the loop when a 2004 Kia Sorento driven by Amanda Wilson, 26, of Knob Lick, pulled out in front of him, according to the BCSO statement.

Wilson was attempting to cross the intersection on Franks Mill Road and did not see Hale’s vehicle that was traveling behind a dump truck; Hale struck the Sorento in the side with his 2004 Chevrolet Colorado, according to the statement.

Wilson was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital by Barren-Metcalfe EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries; Hale suffered minor injuries but was not transported, according to the press release.

Deputy David Houchens investigated the accident, and was assisted by Deputy Kevin Wilson, East Barren Volunteer Fire Department, and Barren-Metcalfe EMS.
