Strengthening a city’s heart

Volunteers will help spruce up downtown Tompkinsville

GLASGOW — A revitalization effort that is being referred to as “Paint the Town” will take place Saturday in Tompkinsville.

Downtown business owners will join others in beautifying their buildings as part of the initiative.

“We’ve got people who are going to do the pressure washing. We’ve got people who are going to do the priming, and we’ve got people who are going to do the actual painting,” said Larry Craig, chair of the Heart of Tompkinsville Foundation.
