Hart Co. teen is still missing

GLASGOW — The search continues for a Hart County teen who has been missing for 11 days.

The teenager, Brandon Tyler Crain, 19, was last seen at 205 East Center St., Apt. 3, in Munfordville around 2 a.m. on Jan. 26. He was wearing a gray, pull-over, long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans. He has brown eyes, brownish-blond hair and stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds.

“We’ve not located him and the status is the same,” said  Fran Bowsher, a deputy sheriff with the Hart County Sheriff’s Office.

Crain works as a host at Applebee’s in Glasgow.

Nathan Lucas, the general manager of the restaurant, described Crain as a “great individual” and as someone who is “reliable and trustworthy.”

“A lot of our employees, they are pretty upset about [his disappearance],” Lucas said.

Several of the employees have joined in the search for their young co-worker and are doing whatever they can to help, he said.

“We really hope everything turns out well,” Lucas said.

Police have no indication of any foul play occurring, said Boston Hensley, Hart County sheriff.

Crain has been listed with the National Crime Information Center, a computer index of criminal justice information, as a missing person, Hensley said.

The Kentucky State Police are assisting the Hart County Sheriff’s Office in the search for Crain. A KSP helicopter flew over Hart County last week looking for any signs of the teenager.

The sheriff’s office also did a One Call last week through Hart County Emergency Management that reached more than 9,000 people alerting everyone that Crain is missing.

Hensley doesn’t believe Crain left the apartment in his car.

“I’m not saying he’s not in [ a car]. He’s not in one known to us,” Hensley said in an earlier Daily Times’ article.

All credible leads are being checked by police.

Last week Hensley received word that Crain may have been in the town of Glendale near Elizabethtown, but a search of the area turned up nothing.

Anyone with information about Crain’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Hart County Sheriff’s Office at (270) 524-2341 or the Kentucky State Police by dialing 911.
