Cave City Convention Center, tourism renew contract with caterer

GLASGOW — Members of the Cave City Convention Center and Tourism Commission agreed Monday to renew their contract with Diane’s Cakes and Catering to supply food service for events at the convention center.

Commissioners did make some changes in White’s contract. Two major changes include waiving the catering fee of 20 percent of gross sales when White generates less than $150 in gross sales.

“Diane often comes in and does concessions for concerts. Many times she has walked out of here after four or five hours with $30,” said Sharon Tabor, executive director of the convention center. “And then she’s going to pay us 20 percent of that.”
