Glasgow’s city attorney offered responses Wednesday to at least some questions a local defense lawyer has posed regarding whether evidence was mishandled by the Glasgow Police Department.
Attorney Johnny Bell filed a motion in Barren Circuit Court on Tuesday on behalf of a client “and all other defendants” that information had come to his attention indicating that some evidentiary items had been stored in an unsecured location, that it had been accessed by jail inmates and could have been accessed by others, that some had been destroyed without a court order, and that some that were ordered by the police chief to be destroyed were not.
