Attorney Bell seeks answers to evidence questions from Glasgow Police Department

A local attorney is questioning whether evidence in the custody of Glasgow Police Department was improperly handled or even destroyed.

Johnny Bell filed a motion Tuesday afternoon in Barren District Court on behalf of one of his clients, “and all other defendants” stating they had recently learned that “items of discovery” were destroyed by the GPD without a court order and that it is their belief that evidence still in the department’s care was moved by female inmates of the Barren County Detention Center from one location to another at the GPD “without proper police supervision, which could have allowed unabridged access to evidence.”
