GLASGOW — An annual Christian event will draw youth from all over the area to the Happy Valley School lawn on Sunday.

RYOT, Reaching Youth On Time, is in its eighth year and is organized by churches of various Christian denominations around Barren County.

Year-round organizers of the event are Glasgow Wesleyan, East Main United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church, First Church of the Nazarene and Bethel United Methodist, and other churches helping with this year’s RYOT include Caveland Church, The River, Glasgow Bible Church and Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian. Attendees of last year’s RYOT represented 36 churches from seven counties, according to Rita Neighbors with East Main United Methodist.

Along with having tons of fun, Neighbors said that the event is about reaching youth who do not know Jesus, and strengthening youth who are trying to follow Jesus.
