Despite high winds and heavy rain Thursday, there wasn’t widespread outages or damage to property.
Billy Ray, CEO of Glasgow Electric Plant Board said the storm was “kind of a non-event.”
“We had scattered outages,” Ray said. “We had a grand total of 40 homes off at any one time, but it was really much more manageable than we expected. We had everything cleared up by 10:30 last night. I think a few people woke up this morning and discovered a little bit more damage and some cable dropped down, stuff like that.”
Caralyne Wright, director of Member and Public Communications at Farmers RECC, said there were just a few outages “here and there.”
