Metcalfe County: Edmonton city clerk retires after 20 years

EDMONTON —

It’s hard to find anyone who has something bad to say about Libby Gibson. Everyone loves her.

Councilwoman Cathy Nunn said, “We’re going to miss her. She’s always pleasant; always helpful.”

Gibson, who has worked for the city of Edmonton for 20 years, is retiring. Seventeen of the 20 years she spent as a city employee have been as city clerk.

“I’ve always enjoyed it,” she said, recently about her job. “This is what I’ve always done.”
