“Duck Dynasty” cast shares an important message

GLASGOW — Barren County residents had the opportunity to visit with the Robertson family of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty,” and heard their inspirational message at the Barren County High School gymnasium on Saturday.

Phil, Ms. Kay and Alan Robertson, a pastor and the oldest of Ms. Kay and Phil’s four sons, discussed their family’s humble beginnings to where they are today. The family credited their faith in God for their success and decided to tour around the U.S. to share the gospel.

Alan said being on the road is just a chance for the family to meet with their fans.

Alan, a pastor and unofficial family spokesman, described himself as the “beard whisperer” for his calming effect on the family. He said everyone in the family has some experience in the ministry. Alan has 22 years of experience and Willie is a former youth pastor.

He described the family’s tour as expanding their ministry and bringing their message to the people.
