Green River Regional Educational Cooperative expands services

GLASGOW —

George Wilson, executive director of The Green River Regional Educational Cooperative, serving 37 member districts in south central Kentucky including: Barren, Metcalfe and Monroe counties, said the cooperative is considering a building expansion.

Wilson said the possible expansion will add 1,200 square feet in conference space. The facility, housed in Bowling Green, currently has space for 120 to 130 for professional educational development training. The expansion would nearly double the capacity and allow GRREC to serve 200 to 250 at a time.

“We have professional development training almost every day,” Wilson said in a telephone interview on Thursday. “It’s a rare occasion when the conference space isn’t being utilized.”
