11:10 p.m. EVENING UPDATE: Dead woman identified

GLASGOW — The Hispanic woman found dead near Beaver Creek on March 28 has been identified as Cassandra Hernandez.

Hernandez, 39, lived in Bonnieville and had not been reported missing before her body was found.

Kentucky State Trooper Jonathan Biven, public affairs officer for KSP Post 3 in Bowling Green, said no other information about Hernandez or the circumstances of her death are yet available.

"Her cause of death is still being investigated at this time," Biven said.

Hernandez's body was found by fishermen the morning of Thursday, March 28, in a wooded area between a cornfield and Beaver Creek, behind Brock Lane. A dog was with her body when she was found.

Kentucky State Police have been leading the investigation.
