Wife, mom, student ... queen candidate

Western Kentucky University-Glasgow student is doing all of the above and more

GLASGOW — Brittany Cain had never been a homecoming queen candidate in high school, so when she was chosen to represent Western Kentucky University’s Glasgow Campus Saturday, she was elated.

“It was awesome. It was the most amazing experience I’ve been through,” she said. “I almost felt like a little celebrity of the day.”

Cain, who lives in Monroe County, is a non-traditional student who is majoring in middle grades education with an emphasis in social studies and language arts at the university’s Glasgow campus.
