Every year in America, more than 800,000 individuals lose their lives to cardiovascular disease and stroke, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website.
The American Heart Association wants to change those statistics, said Michelle Alloway, Division Director for AHA.
“Our mission [is] building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke...,” Alloway said. “By joining the fight against heart disease and stroke, you can help save so many lives, and it’s never too late.”
