11:43 A.M. FRIDAY OBITUARY UPDATE: Martana Groce, BURKESVILLE

BURKESVILLE — Martana Groce, 79, of Burkesville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Glasgow Health and Rehab. Martana was born on May 7, 1934, in Cumberland County, to the late Vernon and Pearl Thacker Wray. She was of the Holiness faith and had worked at several sewing factories. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Groce; two sons, Ferlin Groce, and Freddy Groce; three sisters, and five brothers.

 

Survivors include one son, Donnie Groce and his wife Gail, of Burkesville; two daughters, Angela Sue Whitehouse, of Glasgow, and Crickett Morrison, of Glasgow; one sister, Vestal Wright, of Burkesville; one brother, Armond Wray, of Burkesville; 10 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, Ky. with Brother Ronnie Corbin officiating. Burial will be in Burkesville Cemetery.

Family requests visitation from 2 until 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
