Roller coaster of yard sales

Annual roadside event begins 3-day run

GLASGOW —

Rain didn’t keep pickers away on Thursday, which was the first day for the annual Roller Coaster Yard Sale, which is in its 28th year and spans more than 150 miles along the Cordell Hull Highway in southern Kentucky and northern Tennessee.

Dianne McGinnis and Renee Taylor flew in Thursday from Orlando, Fla. to peruse the many yard sale booths along the highway.

They began their search for bargains at the intersection of Ky. 63 and South Lewis Street.
