After turning 18, sentencing re-evaluations have confirmed that two youthful offenders who committed armed robbery in 2011 as minors will continue to serve 10 years in prison.
Joseph Roger Arbogast and James Allen Page pleaded guilty in June 2012 to an Oct. 9, 2011, armed robbery of Zack’ Express Mart No. 3 convenience store in Glasgow. Arbogast, 16 at the time of the robbery, and Page, 17 at the time of the robbery, used a police service pistol and service shotgun to carry out the robbery, both of which belonged to Glasgow Police Detective Jennifer Arbogast, Joseph Arbogast’s mother. The two teens were charged as adults with first-degree robbery and in June changed their initial not guilty pleas to guilty on an amended charge of second-degree robbery.
Arbogast and Page were sentenced in September to 10 years in prison, $1,000 fine and costs. They were each already in juvenile detention centers, and remained there until their respective birthdays.
