Airplane makes unscheduled stop in Glasgow

GLASGOW — A small aircraft heading from somewhere in the state of New York to Nashville was having technical difficulties and had to land early at Glasgow Municipal Airport on Friday morning, but as it did so, the right landing gear collapsed and the Mooney plane ended up off the right end of the runway, according to Roger Clinton, chairman of the airport’s board of directors.

No one was injured, he said.
