Local man arrested in Warren Co. after 3-county chase

GLASGOW — Stop sticks were deployed by Kentucky State Police after a Glasgow man allegedly tried to allude law enforcement agencies by vehicle, according to a Warren County Sheriff’s Office press release.

The pursuit of Anthony Watkins, 41, started in Barren County. The Barren County Sheriff’s Office contacted WCSO after losing sight of Watkins. WCSO located the suspect on the 6000 block of Louisville Road and the chase went back into Barren County, into Allen County and back to Warren County.

Watkins was arrested after his tires deflated in the 3600 block of Porter Pike in Bowling Green. He was charged with speeding 26 miles over the speed limit; first-degree fleeing/evading police; six counts of first-degree wanton endangerment of police officer; DUI, first offense; possession of open container, prohibited in a motor vehicle; reckless driving; failure of owner to maintain required insurance of a motor vehicle; and resisting arrest, according to the release. He was also served with Barren County warrants for second-degree criminal mischief, fleeing/evading police motor vehicle, wanton endangerment and failure to appear, according to the release. The release stated that he is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
