Local Marine dies in CA

GLASGOW — A soldier with the U.S. Marine Corps died from an accidental drowning, according to officials with San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office in Yucca Valley, Calif.

Lance Cpl. Kenneth Adam Miller, 20, of Glasgow, died Sunday in Yucca Valley.

“He was pronounced dead at 11:24 p.m. Saturday night at Hi-Desert Medical Center,” said Cindy Bachman, spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office. “He was found in an above ground pool.”

An autopsy may be conducted to determine the exact cause of death, she said.
