Monroe County Marble Club members enjoy a game of 'Rolley Hole'

GLASGOW — Ed Biggerstaff straps on a knee pad and gets ready to play a game of Rolley Hole marbles.

He wears the knee pad to keep from hurting his knee when he kneels to shoot marbles, but that’s not what he said two weeks ago when asked why he wears the pad.

“I wear it to keep from getting dirty,” he said, grinning.

Later, he said, “Getting dirty is part of the game.”
