2 arrested on theft charges

GLASGOW — Derek Holley, 23, of Glasgow and Anthony Boyd, 18, of Scottsville, were arrested Sunday by Officer Jacob Elmore and charged with receiving stolen property, under $10,000, according to Glasgow Police Department reports.

Police responded to a call that individuals were stealing items from a building, and the suspects and another person were in a pickup truck that had 56 pieces of metal, valued at approximately $35 each, in the bed of the truck, according to the GPD reports.

Both were released Monday from the Barren County Detention Center, each on a $1,500 unsecured bond, according to the jail website.
