Council members agree on creating position

GLASGOW — Cave City city council members agreed to create a community development director position Monday night, after meeting in closed session to discuss a personnel matter.

No other information about the position was made available during the city council meeting, but after the meeting Mayor Dwayne Hatcher said such a position is needed “to enhance our abilities to promote our area economically and environmentally.”

“This person will be a liaison to create community development,” he said. “They may work with folks on infrastructure. It may be inquiries of business. It may be tourist attractions.”
