11:10 MORNING UPDATE: Former GPD dispatcher testifies in BCSO trial

BOWLING GREEN — Ashley Burrow, a former Glasgow Police Department dispatcher who was on duty Feb. 24, 2010, took the witness stand Monday morning during the federal trial against Barren County Sheriff Chris Eaton, deputy Aaron Bennett and drug task force detective Eric Guffey, to describe her job during the chase of Billy Randall Stinnett.

Burrow was the primary dispatcher to enter information into theFeb. 24, 2010, CAD report, a dispather's log, that has been used by attorneys throughout the trial.

Several radio dispatch recordings were not entered into the CAD report, Burrow said, for various reasons, from not being able to understand the officer to information being irrelevant to the pursuit of Stinnett.

Prosecutors worked to make the point that the CAD report did not reflect an exact time stamp of when the foot pursuit started, so Eaton and other officers may have been chasing and fighting Stinnett for longer than the approximately one minute the defense team has focused on.

Defense attorneys worked to show that Burrow could not catch every piece of information coming across the three emergency channels in the dispatch center that day, including a dispatch where Eaton and Bennett reported that Eaton told dispatch he thought the suspect was armed.
