YMCA Healthy Kids Day features variety of activities

GLASGOW — Barren County Family YMCA's Healthy Kids Day provided a variety of activities despite the rainy Saturday morning. In the YMCA gymnasium, children visited with puppies at Barren River Animal Welfare Association's booth, ran through an obstacle course and had their faces painted. The Glasgow Fire Department and Barren County Cooperative Extension Service offered plenty of information and souvenirs about health and safety, and the American Martial Arts Academy and Glasgow Boys and Girls Club signed children up for activities. Several local health care professionals were on hand to do screenings and provide advice and information.
