GLASGOW — Several road projects will be active in and around Barren County beginning Monday, according to a press release from Kentucky Department of Transportation District 3.
There will be rolling roadblocks on Interstate 65 from mile marker 52 at Cave City to mile marker 58 at Horse Cave from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Work will also continue on Veterans Outer Loop, which will lead to lane restrictions in both directions of Louie B. Nunn Parkway. Contractors will have construction traffic entering and leaving the parkway and Ky. 1297 throughout the week.
On Ky. 90 east of Glasgow, clearing operations will begin as work continues on the future expansion of that road. The work will be between Adam McCreary Road and Ky. 839.
Earthwork will be in progress on Ky. 90 in Cave City from the interstate overpass to the bridge at Sanders Street.
On U.S. 31-E in Allen County, work will begin on a guardrail project that extends from the state line with Tennessee to the county line with Barren.
Work will begin on a road project in Metcalfe County that will impact Louis B. Nunn Parkway near Edmonton.
Land clearing will continue on the new interchange to be built at U.S. 68 and the Parkway. Trucks and equipment will be entering and exiting the road in the area. The northern section of Harvey Hurt Road will be closed to through traffic. Local traffic will need to access Harvey Hurt Road from U.S. 68.
There will be lane closures in both directions on the Parkway from mile marker 29 through mile marker 31. The closures will remain in place until the bridge construction in the median has been completed.
