2:10 AFTERNOON UPDATE: BCSO warns of vacation scam

GLASGOW — The Barren County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports of a vacation giveaway scam.

Residents have been called by an unknown subject stating that they have won a vacation and that, in order to claim it, they would need to pay a processing fee. The male subject then requests personal information from residents.

Anyone receiving a call in reference to this is asked to notify the sheriff’s office. If you can, also get information from the caller such as company, the caller’s name and call back number.
