NOON UPDATE: Man charged with having stolen car from Walmart

CAVE CITY — A Glasgow man was arrested today in Cave City on suspicion of having a stolen vehicle.

Jesse Bowles, 20, of Glasgow, was taken into custody at Five Star Market on Doyle Avenue. Bowles allegedly was in possession of a black 2006 PT Cruiser that had been reported stolen from Wal-Mart in Glasgow.

Cave City Police Officer Terrill Riley was sent to the area of Ky. 90 in Cave City after a stolen vehicle complaint was issued through Glasgow dispatch, according to a press release from CCPD. Riley spotted the vehicle at the gas station.

Bowles was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 (motor vehicle) and shoplifting under $500. He was taken to Barren County Detention Center, where he was being held on a $1,500 bond as of 11:30 a.m., according to the jail website.
