5:42 AFTERNOON UPDATE: The National Weather Service has issued a slick road advisory

GLASGOW —

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued an advisory for slick roadways in Barren and Hart counties. The advisory will end at 9 p.m. EST. Motorists are urged to drive slowly today.

Even though there was only light snow accumulation, the low temperatures have resulted in slick conditions. Temperatures will fall into the upper teens and lower 20s this evening. Roadways that haven't been treated will likely remain slick.

There may be more light snow accumulation this evening, according to the National Weather Service.
