8:03 EVENING UPDATE: KSP involved in homicide investigation

GLASGOW — Kentucky State Police troopers and detectives from Post 15 and Post 3 are involved in a homicide investigation after a body was found at a residence in the limits of Fountain Run in Monroe County, according to a press release from Billy Gregory, public information officer for KSP Post 3 in Columbia.

Post 3 received a call Tuesday shortly after 10 a.m. from the Fountain Run Police Department, which had responded to a residence in reference to a welfare check and found a deceased male, according to Gregory’s statement. KSP personnel from the Bowling Green post are assisting.
