Almost exactly two months after Kent Keen was appointed as Barren County sheriff, he’s decided he would like to keep the job after 2014.
Judge-Executive Davie Greer announced Aug. 5 he was her choice to fill the seat left vacant when former sheriff Chris Eaton resigned, and Keen recounted Friday at a press conference that he had received several questions early on regarding his interest in seeking election to the office.
He held up the form he had picked up the prior day at the county clerk’s office and said, “I intend to run for sheriff.”
