Daniels comes down to Glasgow

GLASGOW — “Wonderful.” That’s how Charlie Daniels  describes a 50-year music career.

“It’s what I wanted to do with my life. I haven’t had a desire to do anything else with my life,” he said. “It’s a blessing to God to be able to do something you love.”

Daniels grew up in North Carolina and learned to play musical instruments at a young age.

“After I learned to play a little, it was all I wanted to do,” he said.

Daniels took advantage of every opportunity to play his guitar and kept advancing toward a career in music. “That’s all I cared about,” he said.

Daniels began his career playing bluegrass with the Misty Mountain Boys.
