6:16 EVENING UPDATE: BCSO investigates two injury collisions

GLASGOW — The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to two injury collisions Saturday.

At approximately 3:21 p.m., Christian Brown, 16, of Fountain Run was on an all-terrain vehicle crossing  Paul Hood Road on from a field, when he pulled out in front of a 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by Jessica Cruz, 27, also of Fountain Run, according to a BCSO press release. Cruz was unable to stop her vehicle and struck the ATV, according to the statement.

Brown was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries; Cruz was not injured in the accident, according to the statement.

At approximately 10:16 p.m., Michael McCoy, 58, of Glasgow was traveling east on Hollow Road when he met another vehicle traveling west on his side of the roadway, according to the BCSO statement. McCoy had to swerve to avoid colliding with the vehicle; his vehicle traveled off the side of the roadway, striking a fence before coming to a complete stop, according to the statement.

McCoy and a passenger in his vehicle, 31-year-old Becky McCoy, also of Glasgow, were transported to T.J. Samson hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
