Store receives bomb threats

Walmart, ACK Controls parking lots searched

GLASGOW — Walmart personnel received two alleged calls a few minutes apart Wednesday evening, each saying that bombs were in the parking lots of the store and a nearby factory, according to Glasgow police.

The second call clarified that the factory was ACK Controls, just across Ky. 90 at Veterans Outer Loop from Walmart, said Julie Anne Williams, public affairs officer for Glasgow Police Department.

All roadway entrances to the store were blocked, as well as the section of the loop between the store entrance and Ky. 90, and access to ACK was also restricted.
