A woman accused of calling in a bomb threat presumed to be directed at Temple Hill Elementary School appeared in Barren Circuit Court for her arraignment Monday.
Renee J. Farley, 39, of Glasgow was indicted by a Barren County grand jury May 21 on charges of terroristic threatening, first degree, and tampering with physical evidence.
Farley advised Judge Phillip Patton that she would need an attorney appointed because she couldn’t afford one; however, because the representatives from the Department of Public Advocacy were away at a conference, she would have to wait until later to meet her appointed attorney. Private attorney Meg Travis was present to help DPA clients with preliminary procedures such as making sure addresses and other contact information were current or updated as needed.
Patton automatically entered a plea of not guilty for the defendant, as he was doing for others being arraigned but were having a DPA attorney appointed. He scheduled a pretrial conference for 1 p.m. Aug. 5.
