GLASGOW — Donald Hammer

GLASGOW – Donald Hammer, 54, of Glasgow, passed away Thursday, June 13, while in the company of family members, at his home.

Donald was born in Glasgow, on Oct. 10, 1958, a son of Nita (Rowland) Hammer, who survives, and the late Truman Hammer.

On May 28, 1977, at Pleasant Hill Church, he married Regina (Graves) Hammer, who survives him.

He was retired from Dana Corporation in Glasgow. He was of the Baptist faith.

Donald is survived by two daughters, Brandi, and her husband David Kessler, of Owensboro, Kaylin, and her husband Kelby Graves, of Tompkinsville; a son, Troy, and his wife Brie Hammer, of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jace Kessler, Kendall Kessler, Bryleigh Hammer, Lilah Hammer and one granddaughter due in October.

Donald is also survived by five sisters, Carolyn Page, of Summer Shade, Marilyn Shaw, of Glasgow, Rita Grider, of Tompkinsville, Pam Cleary, of Tompkinsville, Teena Emmert, of Tompkinsville; a brother, Rondall Hammer, of Summer Shade. 

Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, with Doug Tooley and Rondall Hammer officiating.

Visitation is Friday after 6 p.m. and will continue Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial is in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. 


In lieu of flowers, family suggest donations be made to Hammer Hero's for the American Cancer Society.
