GLASGOW — A Hiseville man was arrested following an investigation into a stolen ATV, according to a press release from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, Deputy Chris Wyatt responded a residence on Big Meadow in reference to a stolen all-terrain vehicle, and the person there stated that he woke up, heard something outside and observed two males pushing his ATV down the road, according to the BCSO statement. By time he got dressed and came back out, the subjects already had the ATV loaded into the back of a black pickup and were leaving the area, according to the statement.
On Wednesday, Wyatt arrested 24-year-old Joshua Ramsey after acting on several tips he had received throughout the investigation, according to the statement. The ATV was recovered and returned to the owner; the investigation is ongoing, according to the statement.
Ramsey was charged with burglary, third degree, and theft by unlawful taking. Ramsey was also served on two active warrants for probation violation and failure to appear.
He remained lodged Thursday in the Barren County Detention Center in lieu of a total of $2,000 cash bond for two cases, but no bond was set for a third case from 2011, according to the jail website.
